Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

If you gift me banana bread and it’s not chock full with chocolate chips DONT! I have very strong feelings about banana bread and I believe that it should be served with a healthy amount of chocolate chips and if you don’t believe that then we can’t be friends. #sorrynotsorry With they being said check out this quick and easy banana bread recipe below!

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium sized ripe bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup of melted butter plus more for pan
  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Pre heat oven to 350F
  • Mash bananas in bowl and then add egg and mix together
  • Add all dry ingredients and stir together until mixed well
  • Stir in vanilla
  • Add chocolate chips and stir gently until all chips are combined
  • Grease 13 x 9 loaf pan and add banana bread to pan
  • Bake for 35 mins or until toothpick comes out clean
  • Cool for at least 15 minutes
  • Slice and eat
